A Masterclass in Uji Matcha

4 teas. 1 farm. The full spectrum of what Uji matcha can be.

From the classic depth of ceremonial Uji matcha to creamy, vibrant and deeply roasted expressions.

This collection brings together the 4 distinct personalities of our Uji teas, each made from carefully selected 1st flush tencha and crafted to reveal a different side of Japanese tea.

There is KIRI, our expression of the classic Uji profile. MATSU, soft, creamy and naturally sweet. AOI, created to hold its character in milk. And KAEDE, our rare roasted tencha for something warmer and more comforting.

Together, they offer a simple way to explore just how different matcha can be.

What’s Inside: The 4 Expressions of Uji

Each tin holds 30g of the 1st flush harvest, grown organically on our family farm in Wazuka, Uji.

1. KIRI

THE UJI CLASSIC · Ceremonial Grade · Single Cultivar - Okumidori

KIRI is our expression of the classic Uji character: aromatic, vegetal and deeply umami-rich.

Smooth and refined, with gentle natural sweetness and a clean finish, it is made for drinking simply as usucha and appreciating the character of the tea itself.

Taste: Fresh green · Deep umami · Refined sweetness
Best for: Traditional matcha / Usucha

2. MATSU

THE CREAMY CROWD-PLEASER · Ceremonial Grade · Single Cultivar - Saemidori

MATSU is our crowd pleaser, and the reason is in the first sip.

Creamy and mellow, with notes of milk chocolate, toasted nuts and mellow sweetness, it is smooth and round with a gentle, clean finish.

An especially approachable ceremonial matcha for those who enjoy a softer, sweeter expression.

Taste: Milk chocolate · Toasted nuts · Mellow sweetness
Best for: Usucha / Everyday matcha

3. AOI

THE LATTE SPECIALIST · Premium Grade · Okumidori & Yabukita 1st Flush Blend

AOI is created for milk.

Its fuller body and vibrant tea character are designed to remain present when paired with dairy or oat milk, making it our go-to for a proper matcha latte.

Bold, fresh and structured without being harsh.

Taste: Vibrant green · Deep umami · Full-bodied
Best for: Matcha latte / Iced matcha

4. KAEDE

THE RARE ROASTED TENCHA · Hojicha

1st Flush Tencha · Precision Roasted

KAEDE begins with the same quality of first-flush tencha, but takes it in a completely different direction.

The leaves are carefully roasted to create a warm, deeply aromatic cup with notes of roasted chestnut, cocoa and burnt toffee.

Naturally lower in caffeine than green matcha, KAEDE makes a comforting alternative for the evening.

Taste: Roasted chestnut · Cocoa · Burnt toffee
Best for: Evening / Hojicha latte

STORAGE TIPS

To preserve matcha’s vibrant color and flavour, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. For optimal quality, enjoy within 1-2 months of opening since colour and aroma naturally fade over time. Refrigeration is not recommended as odours and condensation can compromise quality. A stable, dry environment is the best way to keep your matcha fresh
