POEMS is a Sydney-based tea atelier dedicated to Japanese Matcha, Teas & ceramic craftsmanship.

Several times each year, we travel across Japan to meet tea farmers, potters & independent kilns whose work reflects generations of knowledge. Every tea and every ceramic work is selected in person.

We believe objects made with care change the way we experience everyday life.

Today's world rewards speed yet tea asks the opposite.

It asks us to notice water temperature, to pay attention to leaves, to appreciate the vessel in our hands.

Working directly with our partners on family farms & artisans, we prioritise exceptional flavour and heritage over mass production.

Every tea & ceramic work we select tells the unique story of its terroir and the dedicated hands that shaped it.

An Atelier is a place of expertise and curation. We believe the objects you hold should be as technically sound as the tea you drink.

We collaborate with artisans from Japan’s most renowned kiln regions to bring you the most beautiful handmade teaware. They are functional artworks forged from the earth by master potters. Each piece in our collection is a companion to your daily rhythm, forged from the earth and brought to those who value authenticity.
