For over 800 years, Uji has been regarded as the birthplace and gold standard of Japanese matcha.

While matcha is enjoyed around the world, only a tiny fraction is both grown in Uji and certified organic. It is estimated that less than 1% of all matcha meets this standard.

At POEMS, we source exclusively from that rare 1%.

Work with a 4th-generation family farm in Kyoto, our matcha is made exclusively from organic 1st flush tea leaves, capturing the purity, sweetness, and craftsmanship that make Uji matcha world-renowned.
