Water cooler is an essential vessel for steeping Matcha and Japanese green tea. It serves several key functions: To cool down the boiling water to the ideal brewing temperature (around 70–80°C), make the pouring easier and gentlier, and ensures an even, balanced flavour when preparing multiple cups.

SANGIRI Yazamashi  is made in Bizen, one of the country’s Six Ancient Kilns began in the 1500s. Bizen-yaki is renowned for being unglazed, they rely on the natural qualities of its local hiyose clay and the transformative power of the kiln.

Bizen ware is fired at extremely high temperatures (up to 1300°C) for long periods - often 10 to 14 days in wood burning kilns. This slow, intense firing process produces remarkable strength, and the natural colour transitions and surface effects on the body which is called Sangiri (桟切り), occurred during the wood-firing process.

Each piece is handcrafted by artisan and the unpredictable nature of kiln firing makes no two pieces are alike.
