Water cooler is an essential vessel for steeping Matcha and Japanese green tea. It serves several key functions: To cool down the boiling water to the ideal brewing temperature (around 70–80°C), make the pouring easier and gentlier, and ensures an even, balanced flavour when preparing multiple cups.
KITOBI Yazamashi is made by artist Yamamoto Taisen, whose the 3rd generation of the fine potter in Yokkichi for famous Banko ware (萬古焼), with a history dating back to the mid-18th century. A characteristic of Banko ware is its exceptional heat resistance, their local 'Shidei' (Purple clay) is extra fine which resists odor transfer and making it exceptionally durable.
Each piece is handcrafted by artisan and the unpredictable nature of kiln firing makes no two pieces are alike.

How To Use
For cooling down water: Simply pour the hot water from the kettle into the cooler, then pour the water from the water cooler into the teapot. Each pouring can lower the water temperature by around 10 degrees
For balancing flavours: Pour the hot tea into the cooler, then distribute the tea evenly into each cup
