MISORA Shigaraki-yaki chawan with spout features a soft glaze in shades of blue, shifting from misty sky tones to deeper indigo. The fine surface texture and subtle variations are all part of its story, shaped by hand and transformed by fire.

Crafted by master Kato Kiyoshi (加藤喜代司) in Shigaraki, one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns. This piece reflects the region’s signature character: mineral-rich clay, organic form, and a natural sense of balance. The relatively small size of the bowl makes it sits comfortably in the hands, while the integrated spout allows for a smooth, controlled pour, making it especially suited for preparing and sharing matcha.

No two pieces are ever the same. The glaze settles differently with each firing, the tones deepen in their own way, and the surface carries the subtle signature of the artisan behind it.

Designed for both preparation and enjoyment, the form supports a fluid movement from whisking to pouring, bringing a sense of continuity to the tea-making process.
