Crafted in Tokoname, one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns, this back-handle teapot is a masterful blend of tradition and artistry. Made from Kokudei (black clay 黒泥), this exquisite piece features a unique carved pattern known as Tochiri (トチリ), a testament to the potter's exceptional skill.

Handcrafted by the renowned Gyokko Kiln, this teapot is an authentic piece of Japanese pottery, designed for a smooth and controlled tea-brewing experience.

The Artistry Behind the Teapot

The perfectly balance body to handle ratio allows for a steady grip and precise pouring, giving you full control over your tea. At 160ml, this teapot is the perfect size for personal use or for preparing small, intimate servings. Its Kokudei clay enhances the flavour of your favorite Japanese green teas, such as Sencha, Gyokuro, and Bancha.
