Handcrafted by the historic Tanso-gama kiln in Tamba-Sasayama, this teacup beautifully captures the heart of the Japanese Mingei (Folk Art) movement. Crafted in the Tamba-yaki tradition, one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns, the cup is shaped for everyday use while possessing a striking, tactile character.

The surface features a bold, white lattice pattern applied using a traditional slip-trailing technique over a deep, dark base glaze. This contrast creates a modern yet deeply rustic visual appeal. Designed with a tapered silhouette and a flat, stable base, the cup sits naturally in the hand. The subtly textured glaze and raised slip lines invite you to feel the warmth of the clay, making it a perfect vessel to quietly appreciate the aroma and flavour of your daily tea.
