SHINCHA - The First Tea of the Season
Shincha (新茶), which means “new tea,” is the very first harvest of the year, crafted from the season’s youngest, most tender leaves. This limited-release tea captures the essence of early spring, offering a vibrant, smooth, and deeply refreshing flavour that can only be tasted once a year.
Organically grown in the mist-covered hills of Shizuoka, the heart of Japan’s most celebrated tea region. Our Shincha is sourced from the same family farm that has pioneered organic farming since the 1970s. Certified organic by Japanese Agricultural Standards (JAS), this tea is a pure expression of its unique terroir.
Why SHINCHA is a Must-Try
- 1st Flush Quality: Crafted with the year’s youngest tea leaves, ensuring maximum freshness and a flavour profile that cannot be replicated
- Naturally Rich in Nutrients: Packed with antioxidants, L-theanine, catechins, and amino acids, making it a pure and healthy choice
- Limited Release: As the first harvest of the year, it is available only in small seasonal batches. Once it’s gone, you have to wait until next spring

I tried a cold brew shincha at the market and it rocked my world. I’ve never tasted a green tea like this before, sweet, refreshing and not a bit bitter. If you think you know green tea, this will make you think again!
