A water cooler is an essential vessel for steeping Japanese green tea, serving two key functions: it cools boiled water to the ideal brewing temperature of 70–80°C and ensures an even, balanced flavour when preparing multiple cups. Alternatively, it could function as a matcha bowl with a spout.
This beautiful water cooler is made in Seto, one of the country’s Six Ancient Kilns, where began in the 1500s. It showcases a mesmerising glaze that sparkles subtly in the light, evoking the beauty of a shimmering water. Handcrafted with traditional techniques, its rich, multi-tonal finish and smooth texture make it both a functional vessel and a piece of art, perfect for elevating your tea-drinking experience.
Slight variations in size, glaze, colour, and texture are natural characteristics that highlight the unique, handcrafted nature of each piece.
