About 3rd Generation Fujimoto Tōtsu
The Fujimoto family has long been part of Kyoto's rich ceramic heritage, carrying forward the traditions of Kiyomizu-yaki while developing a distinctive artistic voice of its own.
3rd Generation Fujimoto Tōtsu (藤本陶津) is recognised for works that embrace refinement over ornamentation. His ceramics favour restrained forms, natural textures and subtle glazes that encourage contemplation rather than immediate attention. Each piece reflects the Kyoto philosophy that true beauty often resides in balance, proportion and the quiet dialogue between clay, glaze and fire.
