KIRI - Certified Organic Ceremonial Grade Single Cultivar Uji Matcha from Kyoto
Immerse yourself in the serene depth of KIRI, a certified organic, ceremonial-grade matcha made from 100% Okumidori cultivar Tencha. Cultivated in the mist-covered hills of Uji, Kyoto, KIRI reflects the artistry and purity of Japanese tea heritage. Its vibrant green colour, gentle sweetness, soft aroma & umami capturing the quiet luxury of true craftsmanship.
Why You’ll Love KIRI
- Single-Cultivar Excellence - Crafted exclusively from Okumidori leaves, a highly regarded Uji cultivar prized for its lush colour, refined aroma, and exceptionally smooth, non-bitter taste
- First Flush Quality - Harvested once a year in spring, when tender young leaves reach their peak vitality; rich in amino acids, sweetness, and the fresh vibrancy that defines premium matcha
- Traditional Stone-Milled - Ground slowly on granite mills at just 30g per hour (one tin’s worth), a gentle process that preserves the matcha’s silky texture, luminous hue, and delicate fragrance
- Certified Organic & Sustainable - Produced under Japanese Agricultural Standards (JAS) organic certification, an honour held by less than 1% of Uji’s matcha, ensuring no synthetic fertilisers or pesticides, for a tea that’s as pure as it is mindful of the earth
Lovingly cultivated by a fourth-generation family farm in Kyoto, KIRI represents the spirit of balance between tradition and sustainability. The tea plants are shaded for three weeks before harvest to deepen their amino acid content and enhance both sweetness and umami. After careful steaming, drying, and sorting, the Tencha is stone-milled onsite at a meditative pace, ensuring every nuance of aroma and flavour remains intact.
To safeguard this harmony of colour and fragrance, each tin of KIRI is sealed immediately after milling. This airtight seal protects the matcha from air, light & moisture, preserving its fresh vibrancy and delicate character so you can experience it as it was meant to be: pure, living, and full of energy.

STORAGE TIPS
STORAGE TIPS
To preserve matcha’s vibrant color and flavour, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. For optimal quality, enjoy within 1-2 months of opening since colour and aroma naturally fade over time. Refrigeration is not recommended as odours and condensation can compromise quality. A stable, dry environment is the best way to keep your matcha fresh

Very very delicate and smooth. Beautiful colour. Definitely will be part of my collection. Not bitter at all.
Amazing amazing
The KIRI ceremonial grade matcha is quite something else!! It’s way smoother and more complex than any I’ve had before — no bitterness, and just layers of flavour that really linger. I can tell they’ve put real care into choosing the tea, and it completely changes what you think matcha should taste like.
If you’ve ever been curious about matcha or think it’s “not your thing,” this place will change your mind. 100% worth trying!!!
