A serene trio crafted for slow, thoughtful tea moments
This handcrafted Shigaraki-yaki tea set includes a shiboridashi, a yuzamashi (water cooler) & two teacups. Each handmade in Shigaraki, one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns. The pieces are shaped from Shigaraki’s sandy, mineral-rich clay and finished with a soft, flowing glaze that settles naturally across the surface. The result is an organic blend of earthy pinks and pale celadon greens, reminiscent of morning light over misty mountains.
The shiboridashi is designed for brewing green tea, allowing the leaves to open gently without the intensity of a full pour. Paired with the water cooler, you can adjust water temperature with ease, preserving the delicate sweetness and umami of your tea. The matching cups complete the set, offering a warm, tactile way to enjoy each sip.
Each piece is individually thrown, so no two sets are exactly the same. Every subtle variation in texture, colour, and glaze flow reflects the hand of the artist and the spirit of Shigaraki’s centuries-old ceramic tradition.
A beautiful choice for tea lovers who value craftsmanship, calm rituals, and the quiet pleasure of brewing with intention.
