This petite Kyusu (Japanese teapot, 急須) features a classic side-handle design and a contemporary matte black finish with hand-carved horizontal textures. Handcrafted in Tokoname, one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns, it blends traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics.
Its compact size is ideal for solo tea sessions, while the ergonomic handle and precisely shaped spout ensure smooth and accurate pouring. Inside, a clay mesh strainer - made from the same high-quality Tokoname clay, offers seamless functionality without compromising the purity of your brew.
Perfect for brewing Japanese green teas like Sencha or any kinds of tea you prefer, this “tea-for-one” teapot is a beautiful balance of elegance, functionality, and heritage.
Slight variations in size, glaze, and texture are part of the handcrafted charm that makes each piece one-of-a-kind.

How to Care for Your Teapot
How to Care for Your Teapot
1. Wash only with water: never detergent. Ceramic absorbs residues over time, which can affect the flavour of your tea
2. Never put it in the dishwasher: Hand-washing prevents chips and extends its life so this piece can be passed down, not discarded
3. Remove tea leaves once cooled and give the teapot a quick rinse to avoid stains and mold. Turn it upside down to dry faster
