Handcrafted in Hagi, one of Japan’s most celebrated pottery towns, this complete shiboridashi brewing set is a beautiful expression of slow, deliberate craftsmanship. True to the deep heritage of Hagi ceramics, the pieces are celebrated for their soft, earthy clay and gentle glazes, grounding your daily tea ritual in authenticity and quiet grace.

The ARAIGAKI set features a comforting, creamy glaze that softly transitions into warm, blush-pink tones. The rhythmic, horizontal ridges along the body of each vessel, marks left gracefully by the potter’s hands on the wheel, provide a highly tactile, reassuring experience when held. This carefully curated four-piece set is designed specifically for coaxing the finest flavors from premium teas. It includes a water cooler (yuzamashi) to gently drop the water temperature, a handleless teapot (shiboridashi) perfect for extracting rich umami, and two petite cups for an intimate &  shared pour.

As a true boutique discovery, Hagi ceramics are famous for a characteristic called "Hagi's Seven Changes." Over years of use, the natural oils of your tea will subtly seep into the microscopic crackles of the glaze, allowing the set to develop a deepened, beautiful patina that grows uniquely alongside your tea journey.
