AOI Matcha Powder is a harmonious blend of 1st flush Okumidori & Yabukita Tencha leaves, crafted in a process similar to ceremonial grade matcha.
However, with less intensive sorting, it retains some small stems and veins, giving it a unique texture and a slightly more astringent flavour. This subtle, balanced bitterness complements its green, nutty notes, which makes AOI a versatile, all-purpose matcha perfect for a variety of uses.
Lovingly nurtured by a 4th-generation tea farmers in Wazuka, Kyoto, the heart of UJI matcha production. The tea is harvested in spring, then machine-milled and packed on-site to preserve its freshness and quality.
AOI contains NO artificial colours, flavours, preservatives or additives - just pure & honest Matcha.
