Our collection of handmade Japanese chawan is carefully sourced from independent potters across Japan, including historic pottery regions such as Shigaraki, Bizen, Tokoname, Tamba and Seto. Each bowl is shaped and glazed by hand using techniques rooted in generations of Japanese ceramic tradition.
Made for whisking and enjoying matcha, every chawan carries the character of its clay, its maker and the firing that shaped it. Subtle variations in form, glaze and texture mean no two pieces are ever exactly alike.
